At CLC, all of our teachers are native Chinese speakers with standard Mandarin accents. All of them have had teaching experience in primary or secondary education either in China or in the U.K.

Mandarin Chinese is known to be a difficult language to learn. Our approach in teaching is structured yet fun. We teach Hanyu Pinyi, the romanicised phonetics system, and simplified Chinese characters. In addition to teaching children how to speak and write Chinese, we also teach traditional rhymes, songs and poems. We design different games to engage children and make learning a difficult language fun. All of our teaching materials are designed in-house to suit both children of Chinese and non-Chinese background.
